Field Visit (11 April 2009 - 11 April 2009)

A shieling group comprising the low turf footings of nine shieling huts (NOSAS site survey numbers 1108 -1112 & 1114 -1117), a large enclosure (1113) and a possible still bothy (1118) in upper Gleann Chorainn are distributed along both sides of the Allt Gleann Chorainn.

Further details of these and other associated sites can be found in the Strathconon Phase 4 Report (pages 49 & 50) produced by the North of Scotland Archaeology Society and appended to this record.
