Field Visit (3 June 2008 - 12 October 2008)

A possible township (Allt a’Charnaich), comprising the remains of three buildngs(NOSAS site survey numbers 845, 850 & 197), enclosures (198 & 846), stack bases (183), cultivation remains (885) and field boundaries (198) are located on the N bank of the River Meig at the E end of Loch Beannacharrain. At the outlet of Loch Beannacharain there is an old bridge abutment (886) and two rows of stepping stones (884).
