Field Visit (22 October 2008 - 22 October 2008)

The stone and turf footings of a group of eleven shieling huts (NOSAS site survey numbers 945 – 956) are located at the head of Gleann Meinich in relatively close proximity. This is the most southerly of two shieling sites in Upper Glen Meinich.

Further details of these and other associated sites can be found in the Strathconon Phase 4 Report (page 28) produced by the North of Scotland Archaeology Society and appended to this record.
