Activities

Field Walking (19 February 2006)

In February 2006, members of the Kinnettles Heritage Group, led by John Sherriff (RCAHMS), searched for artefacts in a ploughed field immediately WSW of Invereighty farmsteading. The field occupies a gentle S-facing slope and the northern half was examined using a 20m square grid that measured up to 190m from E to W by up to 100m transversely. This resulted in the discovery of seven flints, one possibly retouched, twenty-one sherds of medieval pottery and a possible spindle whorl.

Information from RCAHMS (JRS) 15 December 2010.
