Archaeology Notes

NO24NE 24 NO 28682 45960

A short length of widely spaced pits, aligned roughly NNE - SSW, has been identified by air photography, 850m WSW of Wester Cardean farmstead, lying in the same field as Cardean Roman Fort (NO24NE 12). The alignment is visible from c.NO 2866 4593 to NO 2870 4603, a distance of appromimately 100m.
