OS 6" map (1959)

Ruthven Old Bridge over the River Isla, now disused and in bad condition, has two semi-circular arches with a central cut-water carried up to refuges. It is 10' wide and has no parapets. The bridge dates to the 17th. century or earlier.

An old rubble-built road bridge over the River Isla, said to be of 17th century origin or earlier. Its deck, which has no parapets, is approximately 3.0m wide, and is supported by two semi-circular arches between which there is a central cutwater. It was by-passed by the building of an adjacent new bridge in 1855, and at the time of survey in 2002, the bridge was inaccessible and in a very dangerous condition.
