Archaeology Notes

Situated on the N bank of small burn, close to the high tide line, is a shallow rectangular depression measuring 4m x 1m, defined by a low stone wall on its N, W and E sides. There are no stones obvious on the S side.

Nearby at NG2242 5484, next to a rocky outcrop at the high tide mark, are some poorly defined stone structures and a stoney mound or cairn, which may be man made.

Information from Marjorie MacInnes, October 2010.
