This ring-ditch is defined by an unusually broad cropmark, which encloses an area some 8m in diameter, and there is no evidence of an entrance. While the cropmark may represent several concentric ditches dug on separate occasions, it is more probable that this is the remains of a barrow thrown up from a single broad ditch; as such it may form part of the adjacent square-barrow cemetery (NO23SE 21).
