This milestone has been set into the front wall of a house on the S side of the B942 public road in Colinsburgh. It comprises a dressed sandstone block measuring 0.38m square by 0.6m in height. The NE side of its triangular cast-iron cap indicates the distances of 4¼ miles to Largo Pier, 7 miles to Leven and 22 miles to Burntisland. The NW face indicates the distances of 5 miles to Pittenweem, 6 miles to Anstruther and 7¼ miles to Kilrenny.

The milestone is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Fife and Kinross 1855, sheet 26).
