Burnside Primary School identified from oblique aerial views (RCAHMSAP 2009), is situated on the N side of Blairbeth Road and E of Glenlui Avenue immediately S of Burnside railway station (NS66SW 994).
The main block of the late 20th century school is set around a courtyard with a pond and small garden. Two small extensions to the main building on the E end. A separate annex or hall is set to the W with another smaller block to the S.
