Strone House is situated within its own policies about 300m E of the village of Bridge of Calley (NO15SW 65). The house with slated roof is set around a rear courtyard. A later extension has partly infilled the courtyard.
The house is depicted as roofed on the 1st Edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire, 1867, sheet lii). The depiction shows a U-shaped house. It is described in the Object Name Book of the Ordnance Survey as ' A fine mansion with offices, ornamental ground and vegetable garden attached. Property of George Constable of Strone'.
