Known as the 'Haliburton dial' (MS 5741/5/1), the sundial that is now in the South Courtyard of Abbotsford House was recorded in the grounds of Dryburgh Abbey by MacGibbon and Ross (The Castellated and Domestic Architecture of Scotland, volume 5, page 403). (Anne Cassells, 13 August 2009).
