Activities

Publication Account (1997)

A low-cost New Town church fo an avant-garde priest, and the first of the practice's innovative centralised, expressionistic designs. The carefull controlled daylighting and the massive, geometrical forms of the larger 1960s churches are presaged in this simple, white-painted structure. Notable metal cross by Benno Schotz as internal centrepiece. Listed by Historic Scotland, 1994 (Fig. 4.7).

Information from 'Rebuilding Scotland, 1945-75', (1997).
