An area of rig and furrow cultivation has been identified from oblique aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 2009), with the policies of Ladykirk Estate, SE of the East Lodge (NT84NE 19.05).
What appears to be broad rig with narrow improvement rig at the W end occupies an area of about 13 hectares and is bounded by the Bloody Headrig, North Lodge and East Lodge. The field is cut with drainage ditches at the E end.
