RCAHMS (KB) 26 January 2000
The cropmarks of ring-ditches and an area of rig have been recorded on oblique aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 1979, 1991, 1996, 1999, 2000) on level ground about 550m NNW of Shiells. At least two ring-ditches are visible lying within a large area of rig, which is oriented roughly NE-SW. A scattering of miscellaneous cropmarks can be seen, and the possible timber building recorded at NO20NE 23 lies within the NW corner of the rig.
