Archaeology Notes

NO19SW 1 14 92.

A chapel "Saint Bride's at Crochauli" is mentioned as extant about 1732, in Braemar. Alexander suggests that the name is "Crochanli, which would be Cnoc Chanli, at Invercandlick", but Erskine says that its locality is doubtful. The hill behind Inverchandlick, Creag a' Chleirich, the Crag of the Priest, may have some significance.
