Watching Brief (30 July 2007)

ND 1745 5357 An archaeological watching brief was carried out on 30 July 2007 to record the nature and extent of any archaeology revealed during the construction of a house at Mybster. 300m to the E of the site are the remains of Knockglass Broch (ND155SE5) scheduled monument 561. No recorded sites were noted with the proposed site itself.

The site was cleared of topsoil and turf using a mechanical back-acting digger fitted with a straight-edged bucket. No archaeological features were uncovered.
