Place of discovery: NJ c 2230 6960

Present location: Elgin Museum (1978.155)

Evidence for discovery: found in or near the old graveyard at Kinneddar.

Present condition: one edge is original but battered and the others are broken; the carving is very worn.

Description

This fragment conjoins Drainie 26 as part of one side-edge of a cross-slab, with a plain flat-band border and diagonal key-pattern.

Date: eighth or ninth century.
