Field Visit (2 October 1987)

NO16SW 43 137 640.

Situated within heather-covered moorland about 860m NW of Lair cottage, there are the remains of a building measuring 8m ENE-WSW by 5.5m over walls reduced to a bank measuring 1.5m in thickness and 0.1m in height. No entrance is apparent and the slopes to the N and E are covered with ridge-and-furrow; within the area there are also at least four small cairns measuring up to 4m in diameter.
