Archaeology Notes

NS64NW 28 centred 61754 48178

An area of narrow rig and furrow cultivation has been identified from oblique aerial photographs (RCAHMS 2008), about 400m NW of Cleughearn Plantation. It occupies about 5.6 hectares and is situated on sloping ground to the W of an unnamed burn.

Further cultivation remains have been noted to the N and NW of this area (NS64NW 29).
