On the E side of Swarta Geo, a cliff-promontory some 10m in height, indeterminate remains of turf banks with some stonework are visible in the cliff-section. They may be remains of an old quoy formed against the outer side of the former shoreline dyke, which here runs parallel with, and some 20m inland from, the general line of the cliffs.

Orkney Smr Note (June 1986)
On the E side of Swarta Geo on the edge of 10m high cliffs is
a site much eroded by rabbits and weather. An irregularly shaped
spit of land around 5m across at its widest, points N, and the
eroded E face shows traces of stonework. Further inland, stones
are visible protruding through the turf but no overall pattern can
be discerned. [R1]
There is a remnant of an old shoreline dyke of turf, running
parallel with the general cliffline and some 20m back from it. A
subidiary dyke runs N at right angles from it and runs into the
line of the E side of the promontory. It is in this cliff section
that the confused, large tumbled stones are seen. There is a
small shapeless heap of stones on the E side of the inland end of
the promontory. The featuare is probably related to an old quoy
formed outside the shoreline dyke.
