A group of five shieling-huts is situated on the E bank of Allt a 'Bhuirich. 1. The southernmost is sub-rectangular measuring 6.8m from NW to SE by 4.2m over heather grown wall-footings about 1.2m thick by 0.4m high. 2. NO 1037 6601 What is probably a two compartment hut lies 40m ENE of (1). It measures 9.4m from NNW to SSE by 4.3m over wall-footings about 0.8m in thickness. The E compartment is the larger and measures 4.2m in length. 3. NO 1039 6597 Another rectangular hut lies 30m N of (1). It comprises an earthen bank revetted internally with boulders to a height of 0.7m. It measures 6.7m from NW to SE by 4.9m overall, and on the NE, where best preserved, the wall has a total thickness of 2.6m. The entrance is at the E end of the SW wall. 4. A further 15m NNE there is a sub-rectangular hut measuring 6m from WNW to ESE by 2.9m transversely over wall-footings 1.1m in thickness by up to 0.5m in height. The entrance is in the S wall and there are traces of what is either a small outshot or an earlier hut at the E end. Immediately to the S there is a small enclosure measuring 6.5m from N to S by 3.8m within a low bank 1.4m in thickness; the entrance may be on the S. 5. The fifth hut lies at the SW corner of an enclosure to the NE of (4). It measures 6.4m from E to W by 4.2m over a wall 1.4m thick by 0.5m high. The hut has been re-used as a lambing pen. The enclosure measures 8.7m from E to W by 7.6m within a ruined stone wall.
