NLO: Canna [name centred NG 25 05]

Humla [name: NG 199 005].

(No classification, cargo or date of loss cited). Unknown.

(Location of loss cited as N57 2.0 W6 45.20).

I G Whittaker 1998.

The significance of this record remains unclear. It may refer to a net snag or sonar contact.

The cited location lies about 9.7km WSW of the W end of Canna, and 8.4km NW of Humla. The isolated stack of Humla lies about 3.8km SSW of the SW part of Canna.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 4 March 2008.

This record may refer to the Wk 39mtrs that is charted at 57 01.901N 06 45.342W [WGS84]; this was located in 1988 by HMS ROEBUCK. However as the area is rocky, it could just be a seabed contact.

Information from Lt Cdr N McEachan RN (Wrecks Officer, UKHO). 5 March 2008.
