Archaeology Notes

NM47NW 97 40270 79982

A hut, an enclosure, three grass-grown mounds and lazy-bed cultivation can be seen on a terrace to the E of Achadh na Creige. The hut (Muck02 286) measures 3.6m by 3.1m over a rubble wall. The enclosure (Muck02 287) measures 4.8m by 3.4m within a stony bank and its interior has been dug into the slope on the S and levelled up on the N. The three mounds (Muck02 285, 288-9) range in size from 4.5m to 6m in length and 3.3m to 3.9m in breadth.
