Archaeology Notes

NM48SW 41 40435 80331

This building stands on a grassy terrace on the E side of Aird nan Uan and measures 6.4m from NNW to SSE by 3.2m internally. Its wall comprises a stone face with a turf core, and measures 1.2m in thickness and 0.5m in height. The entrance is in the ENE side, which is slightly bowed. An area of lazy-bed cultivation lies to the S and there are field-banks to the N and W.
