Field Visit (25 November 1987)

NO15SE 51 1888 5330.

This small burnt mound is situated on the W side of a narrow burn 200m ENE of Smyrna. It is crescentic on plan measuring 9.7m NNW-SSE by 4.9m and up to 0.5m in height. The mound is grass-covered and the roughly U-shaped open side measures 2.5m NNW-SSE by 1.4m and faces onto the burn.
