Archaeology Notes

NM48SW 33 42766 80184

There are five small heaps of field-cleared stones on a small terrace below the steep cliffs on the NE coast of Muck. There is no sign of cultivation and the clearance of the stones was presumably to improve the pasture. To the SE of the cairns there is a ruined stone wall, which runs from NE to SW across the terrace, cutting it off from the rocks below the High Water Mark to the SE (NM 42770 80165 to NM 42783 80182).
