NH98SW 63 9066 8053

Roofed building beside track on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross and Cromarty, sheet xliii; 1880) - old one a ruin and a new one has been built.

Building 1: Ruined. 1 wall and chimney in gable standing. Sandstone and mortar construction; tarred walls and possible roof; brick built fireplace 5m by 11m, flagstone floor; tarred area 3m by 3m to East. Metal debris, anchors, rings from barrels, chain etc. lying around. Fragmentary tarred area alongside, by sea, severly eroded - May be the debris from cawlking boats.

Building 2: Corrugated iron roof, concrete walls. Locked door in SE wall. Roller shutter door in NE wall 7m by 11.5m.Chimney in SW gable. Metal shutters on windows. 46 anchors lying by the sea here.
