Archaeology Notes

NN43SW 13 41260 32560

NN 41260 32560 - Possible oval feature (Feature 31). Orientated NW-SE, this possible 3m by 2m feature is defined by occasional boulders.

NN 41280 32570 - Oval footings (Feature 33). The turf and boulder footings of this feature are orientated E-W. It measures overall 4m by 3.5m.

NN 41270 32570 - Circular hollow (Feature 34). A 3m diameter, 0.2m deep circular hollow may represent the remains of an artificial feature.

NN 41280 32580 - Possible footings (Feature 35). Occasional boulders form a 3m by 2m oval that may indicate former footings of a building.

NN 41290 32580 - Possible feature (Feature 36). Orientated NW-SE, this 4m by 2m hollow may be artificial.

NN 41140 32520 - Small circular footings (Feature 45). Small 3m diameter footings were found isolated from the other features in the site. They are defined by four fairly large boulders and an arc of bank.

Sites identified during an archaeological survey of the West Bank of the River Lochay by the ACFA, 2005.
