(NO 1407 4485) Cairn (NR)

OS 6" map, Perthshire (1959)

Round and dug about but still 8' high and not planted with oaks.

Information from O G S Crawford 1 May 1940

A cairn, formerly planted with trees, but now scrub- covered, occupying the corner of a field on a low spur. It measures approximately 31.0m in diameter and 2.0m high, but its margins are indistinct due to tree growth and ploughing around the base. The summit is greatly disturbed and flattened, but the content of rubble stones can be seen.

Resurveyed at 1:2500.

Visited by OS (NKB) 4 November 1975
