Archaeology Notes

NG51NW 75 5290 1700

NG 5290 1700 A sub-rectangular, twin celled, stone shieling which measures 5.70m long overall. The larger south cell measures 3.60m by 3.30m and the north cell measures 3.2m by 2.40m. A narrow entrance 0.80m wide lies on the east side of the south cell. Access into the north cell is by a low creep 0.30m wide in the north wall of the south cell.
