Loch Katrine aqueduct, Lossnaugh junction chamber (Muylle Id no = 183): This incorporates a set of structures related to both aqueduct phases. At NS48961 94530 (NS49SE 7.04) and NS48949 94516 (NS49SE 7.05) there is a junction chamber providing maintenance access to both the 1855 and 1885 aqueducts and to the short junction channel that connects them. They can also be used for re-routing water flow. This particular chamber has two sets of access stairs and glass rooflights (for lighting the aqueduct access)and Glasgow Corporation Waterworks design fencing and gates.

Information from Jelle Muylle, engineer carrying out a survey of aqueducts and related structures of the Glasgow

Corporation Loch Katrine Waterworks Scheme, 2006.
