Archaeology Notes

NN07NE 41 centred 0719 7708

A large military hutted camp has been identified from large scale (1:5000), vertical air photographs (106G/UK 1236, 5232-5233, flown 11 March 1946 and 58/A 410, 5155-5157, flown 3 May 1949).

At least 77 huts along with a flat roofed concrete building are visible on the photographs in a strip of land by Rubha Mor.

The site is now occupied by Linnhe Cravan Park.
