This limekiln, which has been set into a SW-facing slope in what is now a pasture field, is situated immediately NE of A939 Grantown-on-Spey to Tomintoul public road, about 170m SE of Birchmoor. The pot, which measures 2m in diameter by at least 0.7m in depth within a drystone wall up to 0.6m in thickness, is largely choked with rubble. The draw-hole is visible on the SW.

Visited by RCAHMS (TIP, IP) 5 September 2006.
