Archaeology Notes

NH54NW 159 53232 48347

A pair of wooden outbuildings, respectively of split-log and plank construction, associated with a cottage at Windhill, are visible in the background of a photograph dated April 1895. The outbuildings postdate the 1st edition of the Ordnance Survey 1:10,560 scale map, but are depicted on the 2nd edition of the 1:2500 scale map (1906). They have since been removed.

Information from RCAHMS (IFr), 13 November 2006; RCAHMS B 11602.
