Three span cast iron grider bridge with stone piers and abutments crossing the Gala Water at Brockhouse and Ellem Cottages. The double track line is separated by a further girder on the bridge. The metal girders are of the 'fishbellied' type.

A further visit in August 2009 to photograph the bridge has noted a flood level stone '___, F x L, 21 x 9 x 91'.. Painted bridge no. sign. The rbidge is almost the same as Bridge No.54.
