Field Visit (June 1981)

Tuquoy Links HY 4486 4298 HY44SW

On the top of the banks above a low geo are eight stone-built nausts probably of late nineteenth-century construction. They are up to 3.6m long and 2.2m wide at their mouths. At the head of the geo, directly facing the sea, are two slighter and narrower nausts which are probably older. They are about half the size of the others and their ends are very pointed.

Field Visit (1998)

Eight noosts, defined by turf-covered walls, lie 2m or so behind the coast edge. The walls stand 1.1m high and they measure approximately 3.6m long by 2.2m wide. They face out on to flat rocks. Two further noosts lie nearby. These are not so clearly visible and may be older. They have pointed ends and are about half the size of the others.
