Archaeology Notes

NT12SE 12 NT 17904 21685

Survey; excavation. During a period of low water level, the area of the reservoir was inspected, and a series of archaeological sites were discovered. Many of the sites are under active erosion within the reservoir. Limited excavations were consequently carried out on endangered sites and a survey of the entire Meggett Valley was undertaken.

NT 17904 21685 Stone ring (site excavated).
