NLO: Kyle Rhea [name centred NG 795 225]

Loch Alsh [name centred NG 80 25]

Skye [name centred NG 45 35].

Possibly on map sheet NG71NE, or NG82SW.

Corry, (Isle of Skye), 18th May. The COUNTESS OF LIVERPOOL, (schr.), of and for Newcastle, from Arklow, sprang a leak, and was run upon the beach at Kylerhea 16th May, where she has discharged 50 tons of her cargo.

Source: The Marine List, LL, No. 12,531, London, Thursday May 25 1854.

NMRS, MS/829/72 (no. 9023).

The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative.

The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), presumably suggesting her successful recovery.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 27 September 2005.
