This kilnbarn is situated on a low gravel knoll in a paddock 115m NW of the farmhouse at Auchernack. Rectangular on plan, it measures 15.8m from ESE to WNW by 6.8m transversely over walls reduced to grass-grown footings 0.5m in height. The building contains a barn, with opposed doorways, in its WNW end and a kiln in the ESE, the pot of which measures 3.2m in internal diameter and 1.5m in depth. An outshot attached to the ESE end of the kiln has been reduced to footings 0.2m in height.

The kilnbarn is depicted unroofed on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1874, sheet XLVIA); it is not shown on the 2nd edition of the map (1902, sheet XLVIA).
