Archaeology Notes

NJ01NE 28 NJ 09296 17446 .

The remains of this farmstead are situated on a low knoll in improved pasture 220m NNE of Fae (NJ01NE 47). On top of the knoll there are what appear to be the remains of the W end of a rectangular building, the rest of it completely robbed, and 28m to the NE, set into the SE-face of the knoll, there is a small corn-drying kiln (NJ 09322 17465). The kiln measures about 1.5m in internal diameter and there is a flue on the SE.
