Large generating station, brick built with corrugated iron roof. measuring about 28m by 17m overall. The steam turbine power generator has been removed and the space is now used for vehicles.
Internally walls have brick butresses which are painted white.. Large overhead gantries loading to maximum of 18 tons made by Fleming & Co. Ltd, Motherwell. On the N wall is a fully operational electrical switchboard, with dials, switches and fuse boxes. Floor is of a red composite material.
