This bridge carries Marress Road (which here forms the A737) over the River Irvine on the W side of Irvine (NS33NW 43). The river here forms the boundary between the parishes of Irvine (to the E) and Dundonald (to the W).

The location assigned to this record designates the apparent midpoint of the structure. The available map evidence indicates that it extends from NS c. 31682 39368 to NS c. 31754 39378.
