Aerial Photographic Interpretation (13 January 1993)
NO12NE 32 151 262 See also NO12NE 8.
On the top of a low ridge 300m S of Mill of Bonhard (and some 30m SW of the standing stone NO12NE 8), air photography has recorded the cropmark of a penannular ring-ditch (at NO 1517 2624). It measures 8m in internal diameter and the gap is on the SSW. What may be an arc of a second ring-ditch is visible in the adjacent field and 30m N of the same standing stone, while there is what may be an arc of a third a further 15m to the E. There are also traces of several maculae to the NE of the latter; at least one of them probably indicates the position of a round house.
Information from RCAHMS (JRS) 13 January 1993.
