Argyll Cottages on a bank above the road are decent harled and slated pyramidroofed pairs, the best of the 20th-century housing that now engulfs Ballachulish. The Old Stables, with 18th-century fabric, although unrecognisable since residential conversion, is historically important as the place where Bishop Forbes baptised 179 Episcopalians in 1732 . It acquired its simple bellcote during use as a church in the 18th .
