A small portion of a wall stands about 12 feet high and bears traces of a spiral staircase inside.

The ruined walls of the house owned by the Moncrieffes of Kinmonth may be seen a little west of Easter Moncrieffe. (House at NO 146 191)

New Staistical Account (NSA Written by Rev A Cumming, 1842) 1845.

Only the NE angle of the house remains, 4.0m long on the North and 3.0m long on the East and rising to about 5.0m high. One window survives in the North wall but nothing could be seen of a spiral staircase. No foundations could be traced in the dense undergrowth covering the site.

The remains of Moredun Hall are situated 160m NW of Easter Moncrieffe house (NO11NW 41.00) and in the NW part of the garden. Only the NE angle survives, measuring 3.5m from NE to SW by 3.1m transversely over walls 1.05m thick and still standing to a height of about 6m. There is a small square window above a gun-loop at first floor level in the NW wall and below it there is an internal joist socket. At first floor level in the NE wall there is the angled jamb of what was either a window or door aperture. Three roll-moulded jamb-stones of red sandstone, which have presumably been robbed from the tower, have been built into the N end of the E wall of the former steading to the rear of Easter Moncrieffe house (NO 1465 1921).
