Archaeology Notes

NO11NW 29 11711 17088.

Dated 1697 and 1703. Original house square plan 2-storey and attic harled with margins U-plan valley roof, crow-stepped gables; 5-window double gable front with centre wallhead balustrade, central R-doric column segmentally arched tripartite doorpiece, probably of 1818, swept dormer heads 2nd floor on W front, 2-storey NE wing probably mid 18th century, extensive rubble-built offices. Back (NW) wing 1818 as ballroom for the hotel.
