Immediately S of Cove Farm (NT82SW 24) on the gentle slopes to the E of the Bowmont Water, there is a small area of cross-contour, reverse S-shaped rig measuring 80m from ENE to WSW by 30m transversely. Both in character and relationships, this area of rig is very similar to that (NT82SW 67) lying immediately N of Cove Farm. Both the S extent and lower, W, edge of the cultivation are defined by natural features; the Horsely Stream and a scarp down to the Bowmont Water respectively. On the N, the rig and Cove Farm respect each other, whilst the upper limit of the reverse S-shaped rig again removes the lynchet along the lower limit of an extensive area of contour cultivation.
The rigs average 5m in width between furrows up to 1m width and between 0.15m and 0.2m in depth.
