Archaeology Notes

NH68NW 28.01 61286 87977

A two room cottage aligned N/S. Single entrance to E with a window to either side or the door. Inside, one room is currently used to keep hay and may have orignally been a byre. Separated by a wooden partiton is a second dwelling room with an enclosed fire place on the N wall. The building has a corrugated iron roof overlying turf sods supported by crucks. The SE corner of the roof has been damaged and the turf is exposed.

Visited by RCAHMS (AKK and RC) 10 March 2006.
