The World War II accommodation camp for personnel serving at the Operations Room and other military installations in the area is situated within Aird Donald Caravan Park. Some huts and buildings survive amongst the more recent caravan stances, some of which may be hut bases.

The Aird Donald accommodation camp is visible on vertcial air photographs (106G/Scot/UK 41, 3305-3306, flown 4 May 1946), which show that many of the huts were of the Nissen type.

Information from RCAHMS (DE), March 2006.
